Navi Mumbai Airport Sets Dec. 25 Launch, IndiGo to Operate First Flights

A phased rollout prioritises safety through a daytime-only first month.

Overview

  • Operations will run 8:00 am to 8:00 pm for the first month with 23 scheduled daily departures and up to 10 aircraft movements per hour.
  • IndiGo will operate the inaugural services on December 25: flight 6E460 from Bengaluru landing at 8:00 am and flight 6E882 to Hyderabad departing at 8:40 am.
  • Initial services will be flown by IndiGo, Air India Express and Akasa Air, linking the airport to about 16 domestic destinations.
  • From February 2026, the airport plans to shift to 24x7 operations and increase to 34 daily departures.
  • Airport-side infrastructure is declared ready with CISF security inducted on October 29 and ORAT trials ongoing, while external last‑mile works progress with contingency transport if Targhar station is not open.
