Navi Mumbai Airport Achieves Milestone with First Successful Landing

The inaugural landing of an IAF C-295 aircraft marks a significant step towards the airport's operational readiness by early next year.

The trial landing was conducted with an IAF C-295 aircraft on the newly completed 3,700-meter runway.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis were present for the landmark event.
The airport is a joint venture between Adani Airports and CIDC, with the first phase expected to be completed by March 2025.
Once fully operational, the airport will feature four terminals and two runways, with a capacity for 90 million passengers annually.
Currently, 75% of the terminal building is constructed, and the facility will eventually handle up to 2.6 million tonnes of cargo.
