Overview
- Navi AI, which emerged from stealth Wednesday, said it has raised more than $6 million from United Airlines Ventures and other investors.
- It will begin deploying its system this spring at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and other flight academies, with Embry-Riddle taking a strategic equity stake.
- The platform ingests cockpit audio, aircraft telemetry, weather, maintenance history and nearby traffic to generate 40–50 lesson-aligned insights per flight with a phase-by-phase debrief, supported by integration with Garmin avionics.
- The company stresses that instructors keep full control of training and that the AI does not fly the aircraft or make flight decisions.
- Navi also secured a $1.27 million SBIR Phase II award from the U.S. Department of War to tailor the system for the Air Force Test Pilot School’s T-38 training at Edwards Air Force Base.
