Overview
- Multiple outlets reported on Thursday that Naughty Dog is working on a new, not-remake, mainline Uncharted game.
- Sources say Nathan Drake will appear in the title 'in some form' but they could not confirm whether he is the lead, a supporting character, or a cameo.
- Journalists and independent leakers identified Shaun Escayg as the reported director, noting his past role on Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.
- The reporting places the Uncharted project after Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and before a reported The Last of Us Part III, though those timing claims are unverified.
- Naughty Dog and Sony have not confirmed the reports and analysts warn the studio’s long development cycles and the early-stage nature of the claims mean any release is likely years away.
