Overview
- Multiple outlets on October 1, 2026 reported that MP1st says Naughty Dog is making a new, non-remake Uncharted and that VGC can partially corroborate that claim.
- Reports name Shaun Escayg, director of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, as the project's reported director, but Naughty Dog has not confirmed his role or the project itself.
- Coverage says Nathan Drake will appear in the game "in some form," though sources could not confirm whether he will be a protagonist, supporting character, or make a cameo.
- The MP1st story places the new Uncharted after Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and before a suggested The Last of Us follow-up, but a prominent leaker backed the game's existence without confirming that internal release order.
- Naughty Dog last released a mainline Uncharted in 2016 and has said previously it had "moved on" from the series, so if true the report would mark a notable franchise revival but one likely years from release and still subject to change.
