Naughty Dog Reportedly Developing a New Uncharted Game
The unconfirmed reports would mark a studio return to the franchise under Shaun Escayg and place the title in Naughty Dog’s roadmap before The Last of Us Part III.
Overview
- Multiple outlets report that Naughty Dog is working on a brand‑new, not a remake, Uncharted game based on unnamed sources and community scoops.
- Sources say Shaun Escayg, who directed Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, is leading the project though Naughty Dog has not confirmed his role.
- Reporters say Nathan Drake will appear in the new game in some form but do not specify whether he will be a protagonist, supporting character, or cameo.
- The coverage notes social‑media hints and a ResetEra post as supporting signals but emphasizes that the details remain unverified and could change.
- If the reports are accurate, the project is said to come after Naughty Dog’s announced Intergalactic title and before planned work on The Last of Us Part III, a sequence that would revive Uncharted nearly a decade after its last mainline entry.
