NATO Allies Pledge Patriot Air Defenses for Ukraine

Overview

  • The Netherlands confirmed it will substantially provide U.S.-made Patriot systems and is finalizing delivery details alongside expanded F-16 ammunition, radar units and counter-drone equipment.
  • Germany agreed with the United States to transfer five Patriot batteries and will coordinate timing and logistics with NATO partners in the coming days.
  • Norway pledged to share procurement costs for the Patriot deployments and back allied funding mechanisms for Ukraine’s air defense.
