- The payment applies to switches from non‑Nationwide accounts into FlexDirect, FlexAccount or FlexPlus.
- A full Current Account Switch Service move is required, the old account must close, completion must occur within 28 days, and at least two Direct Debits must transfer.
- Within 31 days of application or account opening, customers must pay in at least £1,000 and make one debit card transaction.
- The £1,000 can arrive in instalments or as salary or transfers from non‑Nationwide sources, but not from funds already held in Nationwide when switching into an existing account.
- Nationwide pays £175 within 10 days once all conditions are met and the account remains open; only one payment is made for a joint account, prior online switch recipients since 2021 are generally excluded with limited sole‑to‑joint exceptions, and the credit appears as “Switching Offer”.
