Overview
- From 18 September, switchers who move to FlexPlus, FlexDirect or FlexAccount via the Current Account Switch Service can qualify for the £175 payment.
- To be eligible, the switch must transfer at least two direct debits, as standing orders and recurring card payments do not count toward this requirement.
- Within 31 days of opening or applying to switch, customers must pay in at least £1,000 and make one qualifying debit card payment, with recurring card payments and mobile wallet transactions accepted.
- Nationwide pays the £175 within 10 days after all conditions are met, the receiving account must remain open, and joint accounts receive a single payment shown as “Switching Offer.”
- Those who received a Nationwide switch incentive since 2021 are generally excluded except when moving between sole and joint accounts that have not had the offer, and the required £1,000 cannot come from another Nationwide account or existing funds in the account.
