Overview

  • On July 8 the Food Standards Agency recalled 12-pack Woodstock Vanilla Creme Crowns (batch code 224934, best before January 2026) after tests detected undeclared hazelnuts.
  • The FSA has directed all retailers to display point-of-sale notices and remove the affected 50g packs from shelves across the UK.
  • Consumers are being advised to return affected packs to any store where they bought them for a full refund, with or without a receipt.
  • Woodstock Foods has issued an apology for the labelling error and set up a dedicated customer helpline for further assistance.
  • Officials have launched an investigation into distribution channels to determine which supermarkets sold the contaminated batch.
