Finnegan recorded 38 saves last season, ranking second in the National League, but struggled in the second half with a 5.79 ERA after a strong first half with a 2.45 ERA.
The right-hander has spent his entire five-year MLB career with the Nationals, amassing 88 saves and a 3.56 career ERA over 291 appearances.
