National Night Out Unites Law Enforcement and Communities in Over 17,000 Events

Overview

  • U.S. Attorney’s Offices from districts including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Indiana and Kentucky joined local police and first responders to engage residents in community gatherings.
  • The Southern District of Indiana expanded its participation to Evansville for the first time alongside established events in Indianapolis and other counties.
  • The District of New Jersey’s U.S. Attorney’s Office partnered with officers in over 20 municipalities from Jersey City to Cherry Hill to strengthen collaborative public safety efforts.
  • Neighborhoods across the country offered free, family-friendly activities such as K-9 demonstrations, bomb squad displays, safety seminars and resource fairs.
  • Organized by the National Association of Town Watch since 1984, National Night Out emphasizes grassroots engagement as a proactive strategy to build trust and deter crime.
