National Night Out Brings Police–Community Events to ArkLaTex and Greater Houston Today

The annual campaign strengthens resident–law enforcement ties to support crime prevention.

Overview

  • Shreveport’s kickoff begins at 4:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Texas Street, followed by the Neon Nights block party from 5 to 9 p.m.

  • Marshall hosts a free gathering at the Convention Center from 6 to 7:30 p.m. with police and fire demonstrations and community resources, highlighted by Chief Cliff Carruth’s call for stronger relationships.
  • Texarkana features a citywide event at Front Street Plaza and neighborhood block parties from 5 to 8 p.m., offering displays, safety information, and engagement with officers.
  • Greater Houston agencies, including the Houston Police Department and Harris County Sheriff’s Office, hold events across communities such as Conroe, Katy, Humble, The Woodlands, and Sugar Land, with times ranging from 3 to 9 p.m.
