  • As part of a plea deal, van der Sloot was required to reveal all information about Natalee Holloway's disappearance and underwent a polygraph test in exchange for a 20-year sentence.
  • Additionally, van der Sloot was charged in the U.S. for seeking $250,000 in exchange for the location of Holloway's remains, which will run concurrently with his Peru sentence for the murder of 21-year-old Stephany Flores.
