NASCAR Releases 2026 Schedule With Homestead Finale and San Diego Street Race

The reworked calendar pairs revived ovals with a San Diego street race, launching NASCAR’s planned rotation for Championship Weekend.

Overview

  • The Cup Series will run 36 points races plus two exhibitions from February to November, with the Championship 4 set for Nov. 8 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
  • Chicagoland returns on July 5 and North Wilkesboro hosts its first points-paying Cup race since 1996 on July 19, while Dover takes over the All‑Star Race on May 17.
  • Mexico City and the Chicago street event are off the 2026 slate as NASCAR adds a June 21 street race on Naval Base Coronado in San Diego, leaving no international Cup race next season.
  • The playoffs are reshuffled with Las Vegas moving to the Round of 12, Phoenix opening the Round of 8 on Oct. 18, New Hampshire shifting to Aug. 23, and Homestead serving as the title venue.
  • The calendar includes two off‑weeks (Easter on April 5 and Aug. 2) and splits TV rights across FOX (early season and All‑Star), Prime Video (five races from the Coca‑Cola 600), TNT (five‑race midseason block), and NBC/USA (final 15 events).
