Overview

• People can submit their names through English and Spanish portals by January 21, 2026 to be included with the mission.
• Submitted names will be stored on an SD card that flies on Orion, and participants can download a personalized boarding pass as a keepsake.
• Artemis II is planned as a roughly 10-day lunar flyby launching no later than April 2026 as the first crewed flight of the Artemis campaign.
• The crew comprises NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, along with Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen.
• A core objective is to validate Orion and SLS systems in deep space, including testing life support performance with astronauts on board.
