Narela Weekend Killings: Two Suspects Traced to Uttarakhand, Minor Arrested

Two suspects in the attack on Kapil Dahiya have been located in Uttarakhand as police await forensic findings and CCTV analysis

  • Kapil Dahiya, 20, was found dead with burn marks in a jungle near the Narela-Bawana flyover and his Royal Enfield was recovered about 150 metres away
  • Sunil Mandal, a 30-year-old waiter, was discovered with a slit throat in his Metro Vihar rented room on the same morning
  • Delhi Police have registered separate murder cases and sent both bodies for post-mortem while deploying FSL teams to collect blood-stained items and other evidence
  • A review of CCTV footage enabled investigators to identify two friends of Dahiya who have been traced to Uttarakhand as prime suspects
  • A minor has been detained in connection with Mandal’s killing and has reportedly confessed, with forensic results still pending
