NAR Unveils 2026–2028 Strategy, Member-Centered Value Proposition, First Annual Report

The plan heads to an executive committee vote this fall following extensive member input.

Overview

  • CEO Nykia Wright outlined the strategy in an Oct. 9 letter that framed the effort around transparency and accountability.
  • The 2026–2028 Strategic Plan will be presented to and voted on by NAR’s executive committee this fall.
  • Key priorities include overhauling financial systems to strengthen processes and audits, managing legal risks, and modernizing legacy systems with technology and AI across budgeting, contracting, operations and member support.
  • Member-focused projects include refreshing new-member onboarding, expanding real-time market dashboards with RPR, and elevating the Realtor brand with an overhauled consumer ad campaign and broader storytelling.
  • NAR will publish its first Annual Report in November to add context to the 2024 Form 990, detail 2025 operations and priorities, and outline 2026 goals, following input from more than 100,000 members with ongoing engagement planned.
