Overview
- Multiple outlets report that Napoli have initiated contact with Barcelona and approached Gavi’s entourage about a possible winter move.
- Sources say Barcelona would consider offers in the region of €40 million for Gavi, a figure that frames bargain and permanent-transfer options.
- Calciomercato and other reports indicate Napoli prefer an initial loan with an option to buy as a way to add midfield cover without a large upfront fee.
- Gavi’s reduced playing time this season after Rodri’s arrival and competition from Pedri, Fermin López, Frenkie de Jong, Dani Olmo and Marc Bernal is the main reason he is being monitored.
- If a move happens it could restore regular minutes for Gavi and affect his Spain selection status while Barcelona reshapes midfield depth and Napoli fill urgent injury gaps.
