Naomi Osaka, former World No. 1, is set to compete in the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open, following a disappointing first-round exit at the Australian Open 2024.
Osaka has apologized to Nike for not being able to showcase her black and gold ensemble at the Australian Open and plans to wear it again at the Abu Dhabi Open.
Osaka returned to professional tennis after a 15-month hiatus due to maternity leave, and despite a slow start, she is eager to improve her performance.
Other top players, including World No. 3 Elena Rybakina and World No. 6 Ons Jabeur, will also participate in the Abu Dhabi Open.
The Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open, a WTA 500 event, is set to begin on February 5, 2024.
