• WWE aired a preview clip of Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story? featuring Naomi and Jimmy Uso, where Uso said “there is a baby on board,” before Naomi relinquished the title in the ring.
• Naomi said she learned of the pregnancy on Aug. 10 and is about seven weeks along, noting prior surgeries including a right oophorectomy and a 2020 myomectomy.
• The announcement followed the Aug. 11 cancellation of her scheduled defense against Iyo Sky after she was not medically cleared.
• Her Women’s World Championship reign ends at 35 days after a Money in the Bank win in June, a cash-in at Evolution on July 13, and a successful defense at SummerSlam on Aug. 3.
