Nanny and Child Held Hostage in Jardins Home Invasion as Police Review Security Video

Overview

• The robbery occurred Wednesday afternoon at a residence on Rua Maestro Elias Lobo in Jardim Paulista.
• Four masked intruders held a 45-year-old nanny with a baby in her lap and bound her hands and feet with nylon cable ties.
• Security cameras inside the home and on the street recorded the search of rooms and the group leaving by the automatic gate in a car.
• Witnesses called the Military Police, who went to the scene and freed the victims; no injuries were reported.
• The case was registered at the 14th Police District in Pinheiros and assigned to the 78th DP in Jardins, and stolen items included designer bags, jewelry, eyewear, a camera, watches, a child’s electric motorcycle and a PlayStation 4.
