Naked Man Assaults Las Vegas Police Officer, Steals Patrol Vehicle, and Causes Severe Traffic Accident
29-year-old Clyde Cabulisan critical after leading police on a five-mile chase in stolen patrol vehicle resulting in crash and severe injuries to occupants of another vehicle.
- Clyde Cabulisan, a 29-year-old man, allegedly fought a Las Vegas police officer and stole his patrol vehicle while in a suspected mental health crisis near Blue Diamond Road and Buffalo Drive.
- The altercation between Clyde Cabulisan and the officer was captured on video by a nearby driver, showing Cabulisan hitting and punching the officer before jumping into his patrol vehicle and speeding off.
- Cabulisan then led the police on a five-mile chase, which ended in Cabulisan crashing the stolen patrol vehicle into a Ford Explorer, severely injuring both the driver and the passenger of the Explorer.
- Cabulisan, the driver, and the passenger of the Ford Explorer were all taken to the hospital with serious injuries as a result of the crash.
- Cabulisan faces four charges: robbery, disobeying a peace officer and endangering people/property, grand larceny of a motor vehicle, and battery on a protected person. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday if he is released from the hospital.
