Overview

• Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi and formally requested additional funding under the SASCI programme.
• His representation sought ₹5,000 crore for pending capital projects, noting the state has received ₹2,010 crore so far through the scheme.
• The state asked for orders to release ₹250 crore under the SNA Sparsh incentive guidelines for FY 2024–25.
• Naidu welcomed the Centre’s Purvodaya initiative for eastern states and urged quick finalisation of its implementation modalities.
• During the day-long visit, he also called on 16th Finance Commission chair Arvind Pangariya, accompanied by TDP leaders serving in the Union government.
