  • Naidu met Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal on June 15 in Amaravati to press central support for Andhra Pradesh’s agricultural and aquaculture sectors.
  • Andhra Pradesh is procuring 20 million kg of HD and White Burley tobacco at a cost of Rs300 crore and has asked the Tobacco Board for a Rs150 crore share.
  • The state government has established seven AP Markfed centres across Bapatla, Guntur, Palnadu and Prakasam to facilitate purchases from 1.31 lakh hectares of tobacco cultivation.
