Overview
- At the January 8 inauguration, N. Chandrababu Naidu urged Self-Help Group members to become entrepreneurs and asked Union ministers Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar and Kondapalli Srinivas to support the drive.
- He handed over ₹1,375 crore from Stree Nidhi to SHGs and sanctioned ₹2,171 crore in loans through the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty.
- He reported that DWCRA women borrowed ₹46,590 crore from banks during FY25.
- He cited 1.13 crore DWCRA members mobilising ₹26,000 crore with a ₹5,200 crore corpus and noted that 93,000 women have become micro and MSME entrepreneurs.
- The fair in Guntur, described as a “mini India,” showcased SHG-made products from across India to strengthen branding and market linkages for handicrafts, handlooms and local foods.
