  • Evidence seized based on Baurashi’s disclosures included 10 grams of melted gold grains, a motorcycle used in the thefts and a mobile phone.
  • The case originated from a February 22 complaint by 74-year-old Jayshree Jaykumar Gade, whose gold chain was snatched in Manishnagar.
  • Investigators are now tracing additional accomplices and using organized crime statutes to dismantle the local fencing network.
