- Nagaland University formally introduced its four-semester MA in Language and Culture on August 4, 2025.
- Offered by the Centre for Naga Tribal Language Studies, the course represents the university’s first interdisciplinary master’s degree.
- An inaugural cohort of 20 students will begin classes on August 5 following the programme’s official launch.
- Graduates will gain eligibility for UGC NET examinations in linguistics, folk literature and tribal and regional language.
- The curriculum prepares students for careers in research, teaching, digital archiving, consultancy, development sector work, language planning and policy analysis.
