Overview

• On July 2, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio formally urged Home Minister Amit Shah to vacate 18.8 acres held by Assam Rifles for the first phase expansion of Dimapur Airport.
• Assam Rifles have moved into a new training centre and school at Shokhuvi village and are ready to hand over the land once the Ministry of Home Affairs approves the transfer.
