- Authorities recovered ₹38 lakh in cash and vehicles purchased with stolen funds from his residence in T Khel Kohima Village.
- A Special Investigation Team employed financial tracking, forensic analysis and human intelligence to link him to the June 3 break-in at the Kohima Municipal Council office.
- The accused, who has served in the Police Civil Engineering Department for over 15 years, used gloves, masks and blind spots in CCTV coverage to evade detection.
- Police are working to recover the remaining stolen property and will question him further to identify any accomplices or insider collaborators.
