Overview
- At a public event in Shimla after laying the foundation stone for a new BJP state office, J.P. Nadda alleged mismanagement and corruption by the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu government.
- Nadda cited Centre-provided sums — Rs 3,789 crore for disaster relief, over Rs 1,000 crore for Smart Cities, more than Rs 2,000 crore as special assistance and Rs 1,442 crore under JICA — and claimed only about 50% was utilised in several schemes.
- He alleged treasuries were closed, the chief secretary and DGP held additional charge, and there was no cabinet coordination, asserting the state had not brought well-prepared projects to the Centre.
- Positioning 2027 as a referendum on delivery, he urged voters to choose a BJP government in the state to align with the Centre for faster execution.
- Linking his message to national politics, he cast the NDA’s Bihar win as a rebuke to “infiltrators” and predicted BJP gains in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu, while Anurag Thakur alleged state debt has topped ₹1 lakh crore.
