NAACP Image Awards Celebrate Black Excellence in Entertainment, Fashion, and Activism

The 56th annual ceremony honored achievements in film, television, music, and more, with standout red carpet moments and impactful community initiatives.

Cynthia Erivo, Keke Palmer, Kendrick Lamar, Kevin Hart, and Shannon Sharpe were nominated for the prestigious Entertainer of the Year award, with winners announced live during the televised event.
The Piano Lesson led film nominations with 14 nods, while Abbott Elementary dominated television categories with 10 nominations, showcasing a strong year for diverse storytelling.
Former Vice President Kamala Harris received the Chairman’s Award, highlighting her contributions to public service and advocacy for marginalized communities.
The event featured striking red carpet fashion and beauty moments, including standout looks from Gabrielle Union, Chloe Bailey, and Cynthia Erivo, who donned a Dolce & Gabbana pinstripe suit.
The NAACP, in partnership with BET Media Group and local organizations, launched the Altadena Community Preservation Fund to support communities affected by recent wildfires and prevent displacement.
