N1 Bus Overturn in Free State Kills 11

  • A passenger bus travelling from Cape Town to Zimbabwe overturned on the N1 between Trompsburg and Edenburg on Thursday, 30 July 2026, producing multiple deaths and many serious injuries.
  • The official death toll was updated to 11 after a 47-year-old Zimbabwean woman died in hospital following intensive care and ventilatory support.
