Overview

• The Dasara Festival Committee announced division-wise and institutional winners following the October 2 procession that featured 58 tableaux.
• Top district awards went to Chitradurga in the Bengaluru division, Chamarajanagar in the Mysuru division, Bidar in the Kalaburagi division, and Gadag in the Belagavi division.
• In the Boards and Corporations category, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited won first prize, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences took second, and the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board placed third.
• Consolation prizes were awarded to the Karnataka Tourism Department for its Anjanadri Betta tableau and to the Karnataka Thanda Development Corporation.
• More than 90 folk and cultural troupes performed before large crowds, and the best troupes received prizes.
