My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Anime

The prequel series explores a darker, unauthorized hero world five years before the original story.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes will debut on April 7, 2025, as part of the Spring anime season, produced by Studio Bones.
The series is a prequel set five years before the main My Hero Academia storyline and follows unlicensed heroes tackling crime in a small town.
Shuichiro Umeda, Ikumi Hasegawa, and Yasuhiro Mamiya lead the voice cast as vigilantes Koichi Haimawari, Pop Step, and Knuckleduster, respectively.
The anime is directed by Kenichi Suzuki, with scripts by Yosuke Kuroda and music by Yuki Hayashi, Shogo Yamashiro, and Yuki Furuhashi.
The manga, which concluded in 2022, inspired the anime and is noted for its darker themes and connections to the original series, including appearances by younger versions of key characters like All Might.
