My Daughter Is a Zombie Becomes 2025’s First 5 Million-Viewer Film in Korea

The Studio N adaptation converted a 2.2 million-admission break-even into sustained profit with growing overseas recognition.

Overview

  • The Korean Film Council counted 5,001,680 admissions as of 7 p.m. KST on Aug. 24, with the film leading the box office for 23 straight days.
  • The release reached the 5 million mark in under 26 days following its July 30 debut.
  • It is the only title in 2025 to surpass 5 million admissions and the first to do so since I, the Executioner in September 2024.
  • Total revenue stood at 47.5 billion won as of Sunday, more than doubling the 2.2 million-admission break-even point.
  • Since its Aug. 8 North American opening, it has been the top-grossing Korean live-action film there this year and it has been invited to the Sitges Film Festival’s Panorama section.
