Overview
- Scammers send texts posing as the Gosuslugi portal to prompt victims to phone them and disclose personal data, according to the Interior Ministry and Obyasnyaem.rf.
- Authentic notifications arrive only from the short code 0919 or the alphanumeric sender ID gosuslugi, making other numbers a sign of a fake.
- Official services do not contact users via WhatsApp, Telegram or other messengers, so messages in those apps claiming to be from Gosuslugi are fraudulent.
- Gosuslugi never includes login or data-confirmation links in messages, and scams often use urgency, threats about account breaches and spelling mistakes.
- Users are advised not to call numbers or tap links in suspicious texts, to block the sender and to report via site feedback, the hotlines 8 (800) 100-70-10 or 115, or to police if harmed.
