Muslim Mayor Barred from White House Eid Celebration Demands End to Terror Watchlist Targeting Muslims

Muslim mayor Mohamed Khairullah was blocked from attending a White House celebration with President Joe Biden to mark the end of Ramadan by the Secret Service.
Khairullah believes he was denied entry due to his name appearing on an FBI terrorist watchlist and called for an end to the list's targeting of Muslims.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations condemned Khairullah's exclusion as "wholly unacceptable and insulting" and called on the Biden administration to issue an apology.
U.S. lawmakers have asked the Secret Service and White House for an explanation as to why Khairullah was barred from the event.
Khairullah says the watchlist has caused him difficulties traveling in the past and calls the targeting of Arabs, Muslims and South Asians "humiliating."
