Muskan Rastogi, Accused in Brutal Husband Murder, Found Pregnant in Jail

The pregnancy discovery complicates an already shocking case involving premeditated murder, dismemberment, and custody battles over the victim's daughter.

Muskan Rastogi, accused of murdering her husband Saurabh Rajput with lover Sahil Shukla, tested positive for pregnancy during a routine jail health check-up.
The murder, carried out on March 4, 2025, involved drugging, stabbing, and dismembering the victim, with body parts concealed in a cement-filled drum.
Investigators revealed that Rastogi had been planning the murder since November 2023, manipulating Shukla through a fake Snapchat account posing as his deceased mother.
Both accused remain in judicial custody in Meerut, with Rastogi's pregnancy adding new legal and familial complexities, including custody disputes over the couple's six-year-old daughter, Pihu.
Rastogi and Shukla reportedly traveled to Himachal Pradesh after the murder, where they stayed for 11 days and allegedly married in a temple.
