Musk borrowed $1 billion from SpaceX as Twitter loan collateral, repaid it shortly after acquisition

Elon Musk borrowed $1 billion from SpaceX in October 2021 using his SpaceX shares as collateral.
The loan was taken around the time Musk acquired Twitter for $44 billion.
Musk repaid the SpaceX loan with interest in November 2021.
The loan represented 11% of the equity SpaceX has sold since 2009.
Musk financed the Twitter acquisition through $13 billion in debt from banks, $7.1 billion in equity, and $26 billion of his own funds which may have included the SpaceX loan.
