Musician Sanjay Chakraborty Arrested for Alleged Molestation of Minor

Kolkata Police apprehended the renowned singer in Mumbai after a two-month search.

Sanjay Chakraborty, a prominent singer and composer, was arrested under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The incident allegedly occurred in June at a yoga institute in Kolkata where Chakraborty conducted singing classes.
The victim, a 15-year-old student, disclosed the alleged molestation during psychological treatment in Bengaluru.
The victim's parents filed a complaint via email, leading to a zero FIR and subsequent investigation by Charu Market police.
Police are reviewing CCTV footage and interviewing witnesses from the institute to gather more evidence.
