Overview
- Cheshire Police announced on Thursday, June 25 that they have opened a murder investigation into the disappearance of 39-year-old Martin Conway and have arrested four people on suspicion of murder.
- Two of the suspects, a 35-year-old woman from Winsford and a 37-year-old man from Northwich, have been released on bail while a 44-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man from Chester remain in custody.
- Conway was last seen in Chester city centre on the night of February 1 into the early hours of February 2, 2026, and was wearing a black coat with a fur-lined hood, grey joggers or black leggings, and white trainers.
- Officers say no body has been found and that 'extensive' enquiries that failed to locate Conway led detectives to conclude he may have come to harm.
