A court ordered pretrial detention after investigators reported evidence the 20-year-old carried out sexual acts while the victim could not consent.

Overview

  • Police say a 25-year-old left a bar shortly after midnight and was later found disoriented, partially undressed and lightly injured in a Schwanthalerstraße backyard.

  • The suspect was arrested Tuesday in Passau and transferred to a detention facility, where he remains in custody.
  • Earlier that night, an unknown man used the woman’s phone to call a 40-year-old acquaintance, who briefly confronted a 20-year-old that fled and was detained on a phone-theft allegation before being released around 3 a.m.
  • The woman received hospital care and a forensic examination, and police say the investigation is ongoing.
