Overview

  • Munich’s S-Bahn trunk line will operate only between Ostbahnhof and Pasing from 9:20 p.m. to 4:40 a.m. on five nights between July 28 and December 2 due to scheduled construction.
  • The S7 line remains unaffected by the Stammstrecke restrictions because it no longer uses the central tunnel.
  • On July 15, three Bundespolizei deployments halted services on eleven Berlin S-Bahn lines after a rooftop incident at Südkreuz and reports of people on the tracks near Brandenburger Tor and Ostbahnhof.
  • A sudden staff shortage at the Schöneweide signal box on July 16 forced cancellations and replacement buses on the S45, S46, S47, S8, S85, and altered schedules for the S9.
  • Unauthorized individuals on the Zoologischer Garten tracks early on July 16 caused delays and suspensions on the S3, S5, S7, and S9, underscoring persistent reliability challenges.
