Overview

  • Organizers anticipate around 325,000 visitors for Munich’s Pride-Weeks (down from a 2023 peak of 520,000) running June 14–29 and culminating in a 3.5-kilometre parade on June 28 under the slogan “Liberté Diversité Queerité.”
  • City authorities and police have implemented a crowd-management concept featuring an online visitor indicator, designated taxi stands and additional stages at Wittelsbacherplatz and Odeonsplatz to distribute gatherings and boost security.
  • For the first time since last year, the CSU will participate in Munich’s CSD parade after agreeing to the event’s participation guidelines alongside political figures such as Mayor Dieter Reiter.
  • Ebersberg’s second CSD is set for July 19 under the theme “Stadt – Land – Queer,” with drag acts, local bands, poetry slams and a shuttle service from Markt Schwaben to ensure wider regional inclusion.
  • Despite last year’s online hate and threats that prompted probes by Munich prosecutors, local reception of Ebersberg’s inaugural CSD was overwhelmingly positive and organizers now plan to formalize their group into a registered association.
