Munich Police Briefly Close A99 to Disperse Unauthorised Woodland Techno Party

Authorities have launched an inquiry into the organiser after they temporarily closed a section of the A99 to prevent partygoers from fleeing onto the motorway.

Overview

  • Officers were first called to the Autobahndreieck München-Feldmoching after a report of a person on the motorway hard shoulder, where they heard loud techno music in a nearby woodland.
  • Police discovered an unauthorised techno party in the forest with roughly 100 guests and no event permit.
  • To secure the area and warn drivers, officers positioned patrols along the A99 between München-Neuherberg and the Autobahnkreuz München-Feldmoching.
  • The A99 was closed in both directions for about twenty minutes, during which some attendees exited the party onto the secured roadway.
  • Authorities have opened an investigation into the 26-year-old organiser, reviewing potential public order and environmental offences.
