• The city launched the ‘A Liad für d’Wiesn’ competition in May to find an official song for Oktoberfest 2025 and boost the profile of Bavarian artists.
• A jury reviewed 115 submissions and shortlisted eight finalists based on fest-tent suitability, playability and lyrical quality.
• Public voting began on June 12 and is available through July 16 on the official Oktoberfest music competition website.
• Finalists include a mix of regional newcomers and established acts, showcasing the diversity of Bavaria’s music scene.
• The top three vote-getters will perform at the Brass Wiesn festival in Eching on August 2 after which a second online voting round will run through September 15.
