Overview
- Two juvenile squirrels fell from a Turnerstraße roof gable and were found injured by passersby.
- Wildlife protection volunteers had already placed blankets as a makeshift safety net beneath the nest.
- Restricted access forced crews to remove a roof board and use a turntable ladder to secure the remaining nestling.
- Rescuers named the squirrel “Fabi” in honor of the firefighter who operated the ladder.
- All three young squirrels are now receiving care from the Wildtierwaisenschutz e.V. association.
