Overview

• From Friday, August 29 at 22:30 to Monday, September 1 at 04:40, only the S8 runs the full Stammstrecke, with other S‑Bahn lines shortened or rerouted.
• The S7 operates largely as scheduled but in a 20/40‑minute pattern, while changes include the S1 nonstop Moosach–Hauptbahnhof at 20/40‑minute intervals and the S4 limited to Geltendorf–Pasing.
• During the works, the S8 uses track 3 in both directions at Laim, and detailed timetables are published by S‑Bahn München.
• Separately, MVG diverts buses during road closures: Münchner Straße in Unterföhring is shut August 22–24 affecting lines 50, 188 and 189, and Lindwurmstraße is closed from the evening of August 22 to early August 25 affecting lines 62 and N45.
• MVG states the bus diversions are weather‑dependent and may shift to August 29–31, with updates provided via on‑site notices, announcements, websites and the MVGO and MVV apps.
