Mumbai’s North Channel Bridge Opens, Cutting Bandra-Marine Drive Travel to 10 Minutes

The newly inaugurated bridge connects the Mumbai Coastal Road and Worli-Bandra Sea Link, marking a major milestone in the city's infrastructure development.

  • The Mumbai Coastal Road Project, which includes this bridge, is 94% complete and is expected to be fully operational by February with the opening of the Prabhadevi connector.
  • The bridge features a 143-meter-long 'Bo Arch String Girder' design, spanning 827 meters in total, with 699 meters over the sea.
  • The road will be open daily from 7 a.m. to midnight, with an estimated 18,000 to 20,000 vehicles expected to use it daily.
