Mumbai’s North Channel Bridge Opens, Cutting Bandra-Marine Drive Travel to 10 Minutes

The newly inaugurated bridge connects the Mumbai Coastal Road and Worli-Bandra Sea Link, marking a major milestone in the city's infrastructure development.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy CM Eknath Shinde inaugurated the North Channel Bridge on January 26, 2025.
The bridge will reduce travel time between Bandra and Marine Drive to just 10 minutes, significantly improving connectivity for commuters.
The Mumbai Coastal Road Project, which includes this bridge, is 94% complete and is expected to be fully operational by February with the opening of the Prabhadevi connector.
The bridge features a 143-meter-long 'Bo Arch String Girder' design, spanning 827 meters in total, with 699 meters over the sea.
The road will be open daily from 7 a.m. to midnight, with an estimated 18,000 to 20,000 vehicles expected to use it daily.
